Build Others Up

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helping for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. -Ephesians 4:29

There is the old saying, "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all." But I think we are being told here to replace the negative, unkind words we feel like saying with positive, encouraging ones. In other words, don't remain silent, say something nice instead.

Fuel Up with the Holy Spirit

 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:26 Once we decide to get on the road with Jesus, we discover that the Bible is like a road map for our journey; helping us to live in a way that pleases God. If we spend time in the Word everyday, we will grow to be more like Jesus. A car needs gasoline in order to work. In order for you to keep going, you have to fill the tank up.
