Words to Live By

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. -Philippians 2:3-5

While Romans 8:28 is my life verse in that I can trust in its truth; the above verses are the ones I truly try to live by. As we put away our selfish ambitions, our conceit, and our tendencies to be high minded and self-absorbed, we will naturally have a greater concern for the interests and needs of others. And by doing this we will fulfill the two greatest laws - to love God and to love others.

Fuel Up with the Holy Spirit

 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:26 Once we decide to get on the road with Jesus, we discover that the Bible is like a road map for our journey; helping us to live in a way that pleases God. If we spend time in the Word everyday, we will grow to be more like Jesus. A car needs gasoline in order to work. In order for you to keep going, you have to fill the tank up.
