Anyone Means Anyone


John 3:16 emphasizes believing.
Luke 9:23 focuses on following. 


There is no believing without following.

Jesus' invitation to follow is addressed to Anyone. . . Anyone can follow but not without giving up everything. . . The grace of God doesn't simply invite us to follow. . . it teaches us to follow . . . Even after we decide to follow Jesus, we continue to need His grace for the journey. . . 

The invitation of Jesus to follow Him begins, "If anyone. . ." It turns out that Anyone means Anyone. Anyone means me. Anyone means you.

Fuel Up with the Holy Spirit

 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:26 Once we decide to get on the road with Jesus, we discover that the Bible is like a road map for our journey; helping us to live in a way that pleases God. If we spend time in the Word everyday, we will grow to be more like Jesus. A car needs gasoline in order to work. In order for you to keep going, you have to fill the tank up.
