Be an Example Worth Following
This chapter shared stories "of people who sought to live their lives fully surrendered to God." Each story was different, "but each bears the mark of a person distinctly transformed by the beauty and reality of God's love and the guidance of the Holy Spirit." (p. 149)

Rachel Saint - missionary to Ecuador with a tribe who had killed her brother; she changed their culture of revenge and murder; translated the New Testament into their language
George Mueller - before coming to Christ he struggled with gambling and drunkenness; following his conversion, he and his wife started an orphanage; they fully trusted God to provide
Brother Yun - shared the Gospel around China; imprisoned and tortured; miraculously walked out of the prison on broken legs; escaped China where he is still wanted; ministers with Back to Jerusalem
Shane Claiborne - lives in The Simple Way community house in Philadelphia where he feeds people, spends time with the children in the neighborhood, runs a community store and plants community gardens; speaks around the country; was in Iraq during the U.S. invasion of Baghdad; www.thesimpleway.org
The Robynson Family - they feed the homeless breakfast on Christmas morning
Susan Diego - served God her whole life; said she would willingly do anything God asked, but hated speaking in front of people; God led her to Uganda to lead a conference for women where she spoke 10 different times
Lucy - an ex-prostitute who ministers to the prostitutes, pimps, drug users, dealers and anyone else in need in her home
Cornerstone Community Church - gives away 50 percent of its budget
