See Your Need for God

Brothers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation - since they will pass away like a wild flower. -James 1:9-10

The poor man sees his need for God. God sees being poor as a high poisiton because the person is humble. When we see our need, we run to God and put our trust in Him. The rich man is to glory in humiliation. In other words the rich man is to get excited when he sees his need for God.

Fuel Up with the Holy Spirit

 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:26 Once we decide to get on the road with Jesus, we discover that the Bible is like a road map for our journey; helping us to live in a way that pleases God. If we spend time in the Word everyday, we will grow to be more like Jesus. A car needs gasoline in order to work. In order for you to keep going, you have to fill the tank up.
